Elizabeth & Kai's Wedding - St Catherine’s Church Hoylake followed by a reception at Leasowe Castle

October 2014 seems so long ago, but that was when Elizabeth & Kai 1st contacted me for their big day.

A pre-shoot helped us get to know each other & come the big day all was set.

We were set to be with the happy couple from 10am for their photography right the way through to the photo booth at night, so at 10am I arrived to drop my 2nd shooter off with the groom at the hotel he had stayed in the night before, NO GROOM !! EEKK !!!

A quick check with reception & we discovered he & his best man had ‘just popped out’  OK not a biggie, so I gave him a call to discover he had forgotten I was arriving at 10 & had popped to the wedding venue for some final tweeking. 'I’ll be back in 15mins' Kai reassured me.. so we waited … and waited … and waited … Called Elizabeth to advise why I was running late for bridal prep … and waited some more.

45 mins later a very nervous Kai appears with his best man, after a quick chat I deposited Sean my 2nd shooter with the men to follow the antics of groom prep, which included trips to cash machines as this was forgotten about the day before, off I set to Elizabeth's parents' house to see her & her bridesmaids getting ready.

The house was surprisingly calm for one with a group of gigglers getting ready, and I don’t just mean Elizabeth & her bridesmaids, Mum was doing a fantastic job of ensuring not only that everyone was fed but also that the bubbly was flowing, dad was clearing up & making sure all was right with the wedding car etc., and I began to see where Elizabeth gets her sense of humour from.

The wedding was beautiful, presided over by Elizabeth's uncle, I still smile at Elizabeth & Kai trying to keep a straight face when her uncle was commenting on 'the raunchy bits in the bible' and as we left the church the sun shone for the pictures.

The reception at Leasowe Castle provided yet more lovely shots, both private ones for the happy couple and group ones outside the castle. And for a final touch the Australian themed photo booth was a blast with guests old and young.

Here are just a few of the 900+ images taken for their day, more can be seen on the password protected gallery, the password for which can be obtained from the happy couple.
